| I have a library full of Modern Beats kits, and I have to say that they are the best that I have tested. The most recent kit I that I bought was Vintage Machinez 2 for 40.00. It has about a hundred or more sounds and they are good quality. I give it a 9/10. I also like the Brass Elementz, and the Neptunian Drumz are my favorite. I give them a 10/10. | | I understand that the envy is part of the game but you and I we are not the same | |

| Honestly I bought something from them too...I wasn't blown away....maybe I got the wrong kit but I wasn't pleased....I felt like I get free kits better than those.....I could go buy computer music and get what they give you.....and 40 bucks for those kit is rediculous....NS kit is something......I even think the FPC kits are hot....ish warbeats kit is better thAn they ish to me....not saying anything is wrong with warbeats kits, I use them all the time. I give them a 5 out of 10 | |

| Guys any serious artist looking to purchase beats will immedeately notice the Modern Beats drum sounds. Chop your own kits, and bring your own style. Questions on how to do this hit me back. So Cratez www.myspace.com/ksauceproductions www.soundclick.com/socratez | | | |

| hi there, good discussion here... why do not try a balance? I do like: extracting audio loops from the entire world CDs we like, cut them with an audio editor ___this is my Reason method.(with a kind of Recycle or slicer like soundforge (auto region)-) energy and sound is recorded by real musicians at the peak of inspiration sometimes, then you get (for free) quatter notes who can be trigged the way you like with independents settings and outputs... i use to --"play"--this way ;-) with great jazzmen and famous sidemen, friends like Franck Vaillant,Maxime Zampieri,Minino Garay...but they won't know it until i give them some clue.
if you know your CDs or vynil, you will always find some good material, good sound, drum solo or vamp; you can do the same with bass inclued, and just rebuild harmony/melody lines with matrix patterns or playing keyboard, this is a very creative process. www.myspace.com/pearksociety ( stage-homestudio, with re-re)
___other ways is to use those samples directly in special FXs softwares like "Devine Machine", "Servovalve marteleur"(free),"Ableton Live","Sensomatic Usine"(free) including breakbeats fxs and some "live cut" based on special delays, pitchshifters, stretcher, play keyboard next or random steps, etc... all synchronized,or not. www.myspace.com/explovise (recorded on stage) there is so many ways, human-computer possibilities are great when they feed each other so, happy new years of creations, or creation of the year. | Wow. These ratings are ridiculous. 10/10, 9/10, are you kidding?
PREE RATING: 2/10
I got almost every kit by them (bought a few), complete waste of space and money. The sounds are all just lame, flat, not worthy enough to use in any of my beats.
There's like so many samples per kit, and the only ones I've ever use in my life are the ones that come in the Ethnic Percussion kit. That's the only good one, just because of the soundfonts their equipped with.
Other then that, I got the Timbaland kit, looking forward to using some drums that sound like ish Timbo could've use in the past, and when I went through the sounds, I was just like "wtf?".
Yo, to all my beatmakers out there, stop buying kits. I chop drums out ALL the time, that's how I build my own kits, and they're the drums that I use in my beats. If anybody's interested, I'll hook ya'll up. No biggie. | | MySpace - http://www.myspace.com/treyset_playa

| im really confused by this thread. are they good or bad??? i went through that i was interested in n they sounded pretty damn good to me. i was lookin at... RnB Keyz Loops 1
Urban Guitar Loops 2
Brass Elementz 1:Stabz, Chordz, Rizz
Klub Klapz 1 & 2
Neptunian Drumz 1, 2 & 3
Timbaliscous Drumz 1,2 & 3 does anybody have these? if so, pros and cons? ill probably buy em all since im sick of the ish im workin with n i just want some real commercial-value ish. the only thing i REALLY need, is drums. i swear to god ive used the same kick (layered or solo) in almost every single beat! but tell me, is it worth 400somethin for all these? | | "If a musician could say what he wanted with words, then what would he say with his music?" | |

| Klub Klapz 1 & 2 - some of the claps are good but most are not Neptunian Drumz 1, 2 & 3 - the only thing i really use most are the kick drums and very few of the percussion, the snares and w/e else i didnt name arent good
if you want to spend money on something spend it on a really good vsti like Hypersonic 2 or East West Colossus
for the drum kits just d/l the kits from warbeats , tweak them export the EQ`ed drums and there you have it, and if you cant EQ them or Dont know how to then invest that money on a mixing engineering book | | BEATS FOR SALE!

| | those Klub Klapz are good but some of em have a lil bit of dead space (meaning a lil part at the start of the sample with no audio) and it gets anoying coz each time u put the beat down it sound off beat... but with a little tweakin in edison everythings good. | | Saha Productions (AtrackS) - Hiphop/Rap/RnB

| yeah, im gonna lean towards the NOT so good side here.. the modern beats collections are some of the very first kits i had started to get into when i first started making beats. at the time i thought they were unbelievable because i had just been using the regular drums that come with FL... plus MODERN BEATS DRUMS ARE EASY AS HELL TO GET. i mean you can snatch em off limewire easy as cake. but as time went by and i started to discover new drums, the more i didnt like them anymore, because its pretty much all the same stuff, just slightly tweaked and altered. in my opinion the only ones worth the disk space and time finding are Vintage machinez Beatvox drumz Vinyl Factory series and the ethnic hiphop percussion i wouldnt bother with the rest.... | | Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods. | |

| yeah i heard audio demo's on there site n they sounded incredible until i actually got my hands on n thought they weren't so ground-breaking as i thought, although i do use them alot now becuase to be honest, i dont really like all the free kits you can get simply because theyre pretty low quality and majority have been chopped from actual tracks and you can hear alot of other instruments in the drums so yeah i tend to use modernbeats.com kits alot actually, i dont have anything else that sounds good as they do | | "If a musician could say what he wanted with words, then what would he say with his music?" | |
