Hi everyone,

So it's finally here:

THE MACHINE - a vintage drum sampler.

This package contains:
960mb samples from 214 Drum machines & keyboards in 12 158 Wav & Aif files.

General Information:

I have had a huge collection of FREE vintage drumkits for a while. And have seen so many so called "sound designers" sell these same kits all over the net, on ebay and on sample discs. So I decided to gather them all in one place and truly put together THE VINTAGE drum kit collection. With 214 machines sampled for drums (no duplicates in here) and many of the more popular machines having multiple kits.(This is because kits from various sources are recorded with different equipment and on different settings. And there for they will not sound a like either.) This is the largest collection of vintage machines I know of.

These samples have been gathered over a long period of time from various sources and are all believed to be in the Public Domain. Some of the sites they originally came from are long gone and some are still there. With this many sounds gathered from so many sources it becomes hard to know witch kit came from what site. Especially since many of the sites providing these free sounds, freely borrow from each other. I have kept the original info files intakt if there were any in the packages.

If you feel something should not be in this kit, or are the author of a kit and want to be credited or the kit removed. Then please contact me at sabotage.beats@gmail.com and we can sort it out asap.

ATTENTION!
Would it not be nice to download a package of this size ones a month? Yep, thought so too.
I will try to make that happen, but in return I ask a small favor of the community.

If you download this package and find it usefull, please consider donating for the next one.
By donating I mean helping me out completing it. If everyone just contributes with a small
sample package of their own, we will have a massive kit in no time.

While all contributions are welcome, please understand they must all come from legitimate
sources and be free to share.Read more about this below.

If on the other hand I just see people mass leeching this, without making a contribution to the
next one. I'll just take it down and call it a day for the sample packs.

How can I help?
You compile a samle kit of your own and either mail it to me, pm me the link or post directly
in the corresponding thread in the sound design forums.

If you are sending me something you did not sample, make or record your self, you must also
include any original readme files that came with the package and/or a link to the source.
This is only so we can verify that all files in the sample packs really are FREE.

So what do I send?
Every pack will have a theme, just like this one had. I will post a topic in the sound design
forums for each package I'm planning and specify what the package needs there.

And theeen?
I will then proceed weeding out any bad seeds and duplicates from the contributions.
My time to spend on this is limited, so which pack gets posted first is largely depending on
what theme gets the most contributions the fastest and how much I need to add to it myself.

IMPORTANT:

While large packages like these are fun. Don't forget to upload your contributions to the
Warbeats file archieve aswell!
This is in no way an effort to replace that great service,
only to enhance it.

Oh, you want links too?

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

This is a multipart rar file totalling around 590mb. You need WinRar or similiar to extract it.

ENJOY!

for noobs or w/e, understand that this kit is unbelievable, how many kits are in it, how many samples, and the time put in by sabotage as well

as for contributing myself, i have a few kits around, but all ones which are known throughout the community, and theres always a probelm with licenses and read me's. as soon as i d/l i del everything thats not a sample itself. but...i'll see if i can contribute at all

thanks again, *off to d/l*

I got an ideea for the next pack: REAL artist kits, not the same kicks and snares just named "timbo kit" or some dirty chopped lo-fi samples.
I already got some 2Pac chopped samples that sound pretty straight, chopped not from songs but from instrumentals. (of course samples from songs are ok too, but they gotta be clean)
