I have Audition and Audacity and I am 3 for 3 on failures.  Does any know of a way that actually works.  I followed the video step by step and I still get music.  MP3s are being used in tutorial right?

I see here that you need both the regular song and the instrumental to get the acapella. Can this be done with just the regular song? I mean is kind of hard getting the instrumental for certain songs? Also what i kind of want right now is the instrumental not the voice? How can i do this kind of stuffs? Thanks

If you want the instrumental just do this with the regular song and the acapella.

I did it with Drama Setter just like NFX did and it worked for me.

Yo what up everyone,

My name's Dais, I created this method (no bullish). Thought I'd come by and claim my baby. Anyway, checkout my original tutorial from StacksVinyl.com:

http://www.stacksvinyl.com/workshop/creatingacappellas.doc

Hit me up if you got any questions about this on my myspace account:

http://www.myspace.com/daisdadooshmastah

(If you look through the blogs, I posted the above tutorial there in Feb 2006; the method was actually invented in 1998 though!)

Personally, I don't think NFX is zooming in far enough on the video. If you're having trouble getting this right, just keep adjusting the wave positioning and keep zooming in. I do it until you can't zoom in anymore. You got to get the wave matching sample per sample (dot for dot).
