Yeah, he actually said that the bass doesn't sound right on the MOTIF at around 8:30 in the video. This track is crazy.

It's essentially B natural minor, but his keyboard is transposed from his fingering in E minor.  Some of the chords he's using like that Fminor  and Eb minor (fingered, they sound as Cminor and Bbminor) are what's called chromatisism, very common in Jazz.  Dudes got some serious chops.  The chord progression is like Em7 (his fingering) Am7 Em7  (he plays the minor chords chromaticlly up and down in various Jazzy guitaristic ways that are very uncommon for keyboard players to be hip to.) Fmaj7 E7#9 (Also pretty uncommon for non Jazz players to be hip to)  If your trying to play keyboard like this the basic Jamey Abersold play alongs and excersies in the begining of the book are your destiny for hours and hours for weeks and weeks.  It's a different kind of thinking all that transposition (with the keyboard and with the chords).  and it "disguises" the simplicity of what he's actually playing.  Dre and Storch do stuff like this all the time.  That kind of keyboard playing makes me really jealous.  I just can't see me puttin in the time to learn to do that on another instrument, I'm a complete hack on keyboard,  I wish they made a korg triton guitar synth...
