Damn, I'm asking questions in every single topic lol, but here we go again...

By the way, great tutorial... I watched the entire thing, but I'm still unsuccessful with installing my VSTi...

I downloaded a free VSTi for a piano, and it came in a .rar file. I extracted it beforehand, and didn't know where to put it until I saw this tutorial...

As of NOW, I made my own folder, used the File Settings to correspond to my created folder, and I refreshed the Generator's Plugin so it could locate my plugin, but nothing occured...

I double checked -- actually triple checked -- my folder location, and it was the correct folder.

What I did notice though is that the file downloaded in the video had a .dll file... when I extracted my .rar file, it gave me a bunch of other .zip files. I tried extracting those previously and then it gave me a .rar file again. Could that be the fault?

I just watched this tut, and downloaded the vst. I also did exactly as told, and changed the folder on the bottom half of file settings to my vst plugin folder, which i created on my "D" drive. But the question i have is, will the defualt effects/plugins work that are located in the folder where I downloaded FLStudio?
thanks, the help is greatly appreciated

Nelson,

In the tutorials section the area that runs down the right side of the page cuts off the right side of videos and parts of the messages. I'll add screen shot if you want.

Just wanted to swing by and give thanks for the tutorial. I really had no idea how to load VST's into FLStudio...lol. I tried and tried before, and just could not get it. Any way, many many thanks and very soon I hope to donate and give back.

Peace

NFX, I love your vids and tutorials. They've helped me a lot. But , I feel that they are waaaay to drawn out... I just watched that 19 minute video to find out all I had to do was press the refresh button to get my plugin to work. No offense of course...but maybe you could make your tuts a tad bit more brief? :3

Oh, also, if anyone is have trouble with .rar, .gz, .7z, .zip etc extensions I'd recommend getting 7zip. Its a free alternative to powerarchiever and accomplishes the same thing...
