So I have everything set up as your tutorials said to. I have my Carrier all the way down and my left channel for my Voice all the way down, but for some reason I am still hearing my voice and it isn't mixing it very well. I am running FL on a laptop so I think the onboard soundchip might have something to do with panning the channels but I am not certain.

Please help NFX. I want this vocoder to work so badly! Why am I still hearing my voice! Why isn't it mixing as well as it did in your tut?!

Is there a way to play back just the original voice track with the notes in the piano roll simply as pitch changes?

Now you need to show us how to record using the vocoder... I try to, but only the carrier comes in, so its only that one playing, my voice isn't there.

Hey everyone, first time poster here (just discovered this site and want to thank NFX for making some very good tutorials). I think I can help the people that are saying they can only hear their voice when talking into the microphone. Make sure that the VOX Channel is panned to the left and the CARRIER is panned to the right. Now select the VOX channel and then right-click on the little arrow under the 3rd Channel (Vocoder) and click on 'route to this track only'. (I was just left-clicking on it because even though NFX mentions it in the video, for some reason it does not show it, and this routes it through channel 3 as well as the Master Channel, which you dont want.) Now a knob should appear in the 3rd channel and the little arrow should be highlighted. The important part should be that the Master Channel arrow should not be highlighted anymore. Now select the CARRIER Channel and do the same thing, making sure to right-click and select 'route to this track only'. That should send both channels through the Vocoder and then out the Master Channel, instead of sending them out through the Master and Vocoder at the same time. I know im not really good at explaining things but I have tried to explain every step and hopefully it helps you guys out. If there is any part you dont understand just ask and I will try to clear it up.
