Nah on the real.. NFX gotta control the traffic and besides.. there are many 'many' lurkers out there.. and it would even grow into more if the archives section would pop open..

Yeh but it would get those people coming back and they may start to utilize the rest of the forum.

#1 but what bout havin like a couple "bonus hits" in a seperate one, that way like someone before said people keep comin back but your still stayin loyal to the vips..

Or there could be some type of limited access the Archives that isn't VIP.

Like there could be the Public Downloads which anyone can get to.

The Archives which are only open to helpful or active members (not as hard to get as VIP). Like a reward to good feeders in the feedback system maybe?? (I have a feeling that is a good idea lol.)

Then there is VIP which is open to only an exclusive select few.

Here is an idea to please all... Like TI said there are many lurkers out there, but what if:

Keep certain files VIP open up more files to the public and let your forum post count regulate your daily download limit (ofcourse there must be a roof to the daily DL limit unless you are VIP that is). That way people would have access to more files, albeit limited one. But they good also do something about it by becoming involved in the community. Also as Taylor B. stated, good karma could also open up more files for you.

Yeah im with the karma thing, but with this poll i chose #2.
if everyone can get the archive downloads who would get vip? itll run nfx even more to keep the site running

Yeah I chose #1 but honestly I think there are better options than the two listed on the polls like all the ideas posted by everyone including myself.

Also I believe if someones file is in the Archives after they uploaded it to the Public Downloads (i.e. got moved there) they should have access to their files in the Archives at the very least.

I don't see that as being fair that someone contributes to the site then they can't even access their own file after awhile lol. Not sure if that could be done though.
