another idea for the pot

people splitting up into groups. so you go with people you understand and work with well and have similar styles, could be anywhere between 2 people and say 5/6ish. then you have different groups or crews. then these groups/crews battle each other. this totally rejuvenates the current dead (imo) battlezone.

you could do the rocbtttle type thing, where u have crews, and people can apply and can be approved into them. or be a group like vito first recommended.

i get to pick my crew first, i want the europeans together. sab, slave, lucas, T.I. and k-ta.

lol yesterday i got the idea and wanted to suggest after this battle to arrange battle europe vs USA.

Anyway bout mixtape thing... Bout 3-4 years Nfx tryed to do this-it didnt work

If well have remixes on it that will be fine, but if well search for rappers and try to do original work something allways goes wrong...
And i like the idea bout forum reserved just for group...
And guys this is fun, fun idea but we have to realize that if we work togather this could be much more than just fun...

Yes several teams is a good idea. several production cd's, I'm wondering about the artists to. maybe just instrumental cd.

Well to make the mixtape idea reality you need good planning and a persistent mofo to run it all with the knowledge to back it all up.

Ofcourse it's going to fall on getting the rappers if you just ramdomly contact someone asking them to get down. People want to know why/how/when and by whom. You need to have a plan for what sort of artist you want, you need to study their style and make damn sure you have something to present to them that's up their alley.

I won't just give out a beat to some random dude asking for one... Remember the last guy that started a thread about making a mixtape and asked people to send over beats? He got basicly laughed out for doing so. What makes you think a rapper would react any different.

Also it helps to already have something done.. maybe a mixtape or a beat tape first. Then you can showcase a good product that promotes the people on it.

splitting up is pretty much what i said. u could put 1 or 2 really strong people in a group then add a few less experienced producers per group. that way the stronger main guys r captains and have the most say, and us less experienced guys get to work with the captains and learn alot.

thats what i like about the idea, LEARNING from much better producers then me.

so Noctune, youve said your kinda starting up a group like this already?

im also brown... i want in on this... i can make some good ish... this is to state that i officialy want in on this project. I think we should get a roster going for people to electronically sign with their Wb names... and the teams should have their own veteran leader and not have all the veterans in one team... that wouldn't make any sense because 99.9 percent of the output will be produced solely by that one group. say we have 5 teams with each assigned a "veteran" then the people under them will be assigned based on genre and whatever beats your more into making, in order to bring out the best of all worlds. then you put together an album with tracks from the best of each world. naw mean? count me in
