| Sup WB Fam, Today is a good day.. Because today I finally bough a new system..  Specs are: - Intel(r) Core(tm)2 quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83ghz - Ram: 4 GB - Sound and Video is onboard and nothin' spectacular.. The soundcard will soon be assisted by the Mbox anyways .. Right now I'm very busy installing 'everything' I had on my old pc.. Gotta bring in my back ups too.. Soooo I still have alot of work ahead of me, but that's okay.. Sooo very soon I'll be bangin' tracks again  and this time they will be even crazier then before..!! The beast is unleashed... AGAIN!LoL.. | |

| 4 gigs of RAM isn't that awesome with a quad core..especially now, when RAM is so cheap.
But as long as the guys from image-line don't get their ass up to build a 64 bit code for FLStudio, more than 4 gb RAM is useless anyways.

It all depends on what he's going to be using his PC for, 4GB is certainly enough if only for Audio production. Although like you said, RAM is dirt cheap so if he wants to add more it's not a problem.

The program they code with doesn't support 64bit yet. They don't really have a way around it except to do a complete rewrite in another language. | |  | |

It was difficult to make beats on that.. and before that I rocked this REALLY old pc (300 Mhz 128 MB RAM and 6 GB Harddisk).. You don't wanna know how it was to make tracks on that.. but I still made some hot ish. reall talk.. .. I was like recording every melody, drumloop into a wav and worked from that.. It was seriously a pain.. But I paid my dues XD... Time to rock!! | |

Time to rock!! im using 2.66 Ghz 1 Gb Ram and 75gb hdd and im getting soon 1000Gb for only 80$,s and buy me a couple of rams like 3gb and im set buy im going to get a new computer in the future after i ogt my monitors audio interface and Rack how mucth did you actually pay ???probly like 400 or 500 cuz i bought my mother a notebook yesterday and it had 160 gb hdd 3gb ram and 2.00 ghz i tought...for 400 euro and it runs smooth not that i kno for music making or games my mother uses it for Chatting and all that stuff and emailing and what so ever....so its good enough matter of fact better den mine | | | |
