Oh music is completely over sexed. As is a lot of society. I'm not sure if anything like this happenned around where any one on here lived but just a while back there were these massive yellow billboards around everywhere and then in big red letters it said "do you want longer lasting" and then in bigger redder lettters it said "sex". Now tell me if there's an 8 year old kid in a car driving past that how good are there chances of remembering that word and googling it when they get home. Couple this with things like Brat dolls (plastic skanks) and pussy cat dolls (plastic skanks) and it is impossible to ignore the fact that people are growing up quicker. I'm not sure if there is a 14 year old boy out there who hasn't run in to porn.

In the end the problem is there is nothing that can be done about it short of sticking all kids in a padded cells.

You are right about the "disco stick" thing.. I'm surprised you just found out..
But the thing you say about young kids and the evergrowing "advertising" of sex is only one side of the story..
The place where it all starts is the home environment. The root of the problem doesn't lie in bigg-ass billboards that advertise sex.. No the problem lies with the parents.. The parents are firstly responsible for the child.. That's where it starts..

In a sense I agree but parents can only do so much. I mean kids are naturally curious and there is no way from sheilding them from the world. All parents can do is try to teach them what is appropriate and what isn't

yea parents are a huge factor in the childrens developement... and i think that with good good parenting... you can prevent alot of bad things from reaching your children, but you can only do so much until they start thinking and acting for themselves, surrounded by this sexual environment that we step into everyday we walk out the door...

yeah sexual lyrics are on the radio without hesitation, my 5 year old was singing birthday sex, so i had to tell her not to sing it, even if it sounds good the message was bad, i thing she understood, and the bratz dolls thing are horrible, i watchd that cartoon and they are supposed to be kids and they are having plastic surgeries and perforiming songs i wouldnt even want my wildest dream girl to have on... its a damn shame

that's exactly right. we can't (and shouldn't) go round trying to take down all the lyrics, posters, and adverts we don't want our children to hear. People have a right to listen to whatever they want. If you don't want your children to have sex before a certain age, all you can do is educate them to make the right decision for themeselves

Just an odd point, I'm in no way saying that we should be less concerned about this sex addicted society, but I do find it funny that we can be in uproar about this sex stuff, a large proportion kids wouldn't get (I mean how many kids are going to knowingly connect clit to anything), and yet we are quite happy to have a show like dexter on prime time television. So many movies, so many TV shows, even the news. And kids are going to understand this and become desensitised. Does anyone else think that this is a bit of an issue to?
