i just try to make myself feel it, then try to name the instrumental something that matches with that feeling, because its kind of hard to influence what so many others hear and feel within themselves... music can mean anything to anyone... but usually whatever im feeling, i try to create... for example if im trying to make a sad beat, i would put in some sad strings with a slow tempo...

yeah yeahh true true ... i asked because before 5-6 years when i just beginning to learn everething by my own a friend of mine ask me how you feel about this song ... he made he was got d+++ good backthen int seein him for a while ... but my answer was sth like this has really sad feeling to it ... something wrong happen sth bad ... thats all i can say ... i dont feel good bout it ... another song he played for me .... some song with vocals .... german rap .... and he said to me You have to understand what is talking about in the song without knowing what the lyrics mean .......... this is some really deep ishhh

ah okay.. well mostly i'll have a tempo in my head.. so i put the tap button on on tap a pad on my mpd to whatever tempo my head is in at that moment
then i leave the metronome on and start playing around with synths untill i find something that makes my head nod and has the feeling i'm after..
if its really good ill dance for about 10 minutes at that point xD
and then make everything from there.. trying other stuff to accent that feeling

It comes with the feeling and what instruments you choose. If i want a sad beat or something chill i usually start with a background ambient thing...some voices or something for example. Then i lay down some drums to that and start thinking of a melody. Usually the first melody and drums set the mood for the track.

I guess it's important to not force a certain melody...just roll with the drums and all that and hit some keys and see what you come up with.
