I don't really like his music a whole lot but I do say the dude has talent. He knows what he's doing and is very good at it.But I do say these days I'm kinda disappointed in hip hop.Seems like it's all comercialized and made in bulk.Whatever happened to taking your time, being original, ect.Back in the 90's everybody was doin they own thing and hip hop was constantly evolving into something different.Seems like now everybody is repeating the same thing over and over.No offense to anybody here tho...we all workin hard on these beats. One of us has gotta bring it to the next level on the real tho, either lyrically or otherwise.

so to come back to this topic months later. Jay Leno put him in his place after the VMAs you see his face? He said he was going to take some time to re evaluate himself which i hope he does. I feel like he wasn't always like this, or maybe he was and just became a lot worse. but just to take another shot that verse he did on that drake joint was pure garbage.

well i cant say im a fan of his lyrics but sometimes he has clever lines in there, tho i doubt that he wrote them himself after seein that video where he forgets his own lyrics on Goodlife.

as for the whole VMA's thing, i think right now hes just using the whole arrogant image as a career move..

honestly these days its really hard to tell wether a celebrity is showing their real self or not

In my opinion, his old beats (on albums like College Dropout, Late Registration etc) are quite good. I just dont like how he raps, his flow I mean. Ive never seen him speak in public or anything, but in his lyrics he seems a bit arrogant, which I dont mind, but he can't rap, so it's kinda lame that he's arrogant

Like Vinnie Paz once said:

"Never nothin' soft, everything a violent song.
Kanye West: gay rapper. That's where lines are drawn."
