Hi everybody, I am a noob to FL and the whole Midi thing. I'm not a noob to audio software, just been avoiding midi for a loooooong time. Anybody suggest where I should begin? I dont have a midi controller, just keyboard & mouse. I already have read up on midi and understand how it works. Just dont know how to make it work in FL. I currently only have the free version.

Alright, first you wanna pick up a controller. Since your a beginner I recommend something cheap like an M-Audio Oxygen 8 or something along those lines.

They will work off of usbmidi which means it transfers the midi data not through a midi cable but a usb cord. Just plug it in, go to options/midi and choose the midi controller you got.

Then start creating music! Load in the instruments and drums you want and you can control/record them with your new midi controller!!
