i own the M-audio Axiom 61

i agree with all the good comments about it

But one thing i dont like is that when i got the manual to my other regular M-audio 61 key it said to wash my hands after use cause of Lead Exposure Lead is very bad and it said it right on the manual on both of them "this product contains lead wash hands after use"

one thing i dont like about mostly all m-audio boards, is that there Mod and Pitch wheel so freakin small, it takes ages to get used to bending them.

I don't want to risk my health & having fun because my MIDI keyboard has paint in that which contains led. I'll just settle for the M-audio Oxygen 49, or 61 key! That will work for me!

Sorry for the bump but To everyone thinking of purchasing this, think again. Ask yourself if you are really going to use all those fancy features and if you like weighted keys or not. If you're looking to just use it as a midi then just buy a cheaper one like a keystation or an Oxygen(i have the 49 and its great). Save yourselves some cash!

I'm a new Axiom 49 owner. It is a great keyboard and easy to use with FL 8. My favorite feature is the transport buttons on the keyboard. It is very configurable.

I do agree with two previous points:

1) If you do not require the extra features or can't afford them, then go with a simpler cheaper alternative. 90% of the time the keys are what you will use.

2) The pitch and mod wheels are smaller than most but what really bugs me is that the grip on the wheel is much different than the XBoard I was using. I still don't feel as comfortable with it as I could, but that will come with time.

it took me a lil while to get it set up with fl8 which was a lil fustrating cause it was plug and play with reason but other than that the only complain that i have is i should've went bigger! i must admit it is a lil crowded but for 100 bucks i cant go wrong. i've heard people complain about the pads, once i learned how to set em up it was all good, i love em.

so my only advice is if your gonna get a axiom get atleast a 49, trust me

I Don't know if anyone is still having problems with their axiom's and setting up the presets and transport keys but this video helped me out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXctIJxHPB0&feature=related

I have the 25 and it's works perfectly with FL 8.

I got this, I love it.

I hope that there really isnt lead in this product though cause i'm always usin it and never wash my hands after.

the only thing i have yet to figure out is why when i export songs out of fl8, the midi mapping doesnt work

the song jus doesnt export at all, or says device out of range or some ish

like if you use the FPC for the drums, I have to replecate what i do in the step sequencer with individual channels because my program doesnt recognize the mapin on the pads... any knowledge on this would be awesome

Check me out on MYSPACE

hey all,

just got this controller today and am so far loving it, but i had two questions.

1) is there any way to make it all one consistent velocity? as much as i love velocity sensistive keyboards, sometimes its just annoying.

2) has anyone else noticed that there's some latency between the controller and FL? i dont notice it between the controller and ableton, so i was wondering if there were any settings i need to change in fl?

I bought this today and Im SOOOOO in love with it now i just have to figure fruity loops out and ill have complete control of any beat thats in my head..

i even got the record play and fast forward buttons working, just watch this video it explains and shows u exactly how to do it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXctIJxHPB0

im honestly in love, everything from the feel to the way it looks, the keys are a little plasticy but i still like them more than any past midi controllers.

AND it comes with pads?

wow for 179?

For those whose transport controls don't work, watch this video:

Complete Axiom 25, 49, 61 Midi Setup For FLStudio - YouTube

Mine work just fine.

Music..., that's what I'm about.
