The axiom 25 has definitely improved my skills as a producer.Im sure any controller could do so but the axiom has been really helpful. It has 8 functional pads which I usually assign the FPC plugin and use with no problem. The keys take some getting used to but they definitely have a nice feel to them.

Theres also 8 knobs which in FL you can assign to any knob in FL such as the volume knob or slider or the pan knob.Anything that has the linking function.FL automatically recognizes the pitch bend wheel on the controller and assigns it to the pitch knob in FL.The mod wheel is pretty nice to which you can assign to an knob also.

The only downside for me with the controller is that the transport controls dont work with FL.Meaning there is a play, stop, record button but they dont work with FL.There are ways the get them to work though.

The price is very well set for the controller too.I picked it up for 180 from guitar center.

I dont think I missed anything but if you have any questions about the controller please go ahead and ask.I'll be more than happy to answer them for you.

Since I own the same model I'll write my review there as well.
The Axiom 25 is cool. It looks good, it's not heavy although it's built like a tank. You have a wide range of controls as mentionned above: trigger pads, a mod wheel and knobs that you can assign to whatever you want, and of course the keys and the pithc bend that are automatically recognized by any software. The big LCD screen with a blue backlight is quiet cool as well, and is able to display a lot of info although it's not that useful when working on a software. The Axiom 25 is however pretty big, and will take up quiet a lot of space on your work station. But you don't need a power supply for it, it directly comes from the USB.

Now what's also cool with the Axiom its that it s recognized and automatically configured for almost any music production program out there. However, and i know there's a lot of FL users, myself included, if you expected to plug the Axiom and work with it right away with FL get your hopes down. FLStudio is probably the only software that won't directly match with the Axiom, at least not right now. Maybe they'll fix that in FL, i hope so anyway. The transport (play/stop/record..) buttons don't work although there has been some ways to fix this, but these didn't work for me so its not guaranteed that itll work with everyone.

Just having a keyboard helps incredibly to make music. And the Axiom is a really, really good one for the price. Just be aware of the limited compatibility with FLStudio, and do consider buying the larger versions Axiom 49 and 61. It's quiet easy to transpose octaves with the 25 but in the long term you'll be wishing to have bought the bigger one, i know i do.

Ill vouch for the Axiom 61 as well. Everything that JZM outlined, and I'll add
-The velocity curve presets are easy to get too and cover most playing styles.
-Keys are a lil plastic-y, but no real complaints, just wish they'd feel a lil more...expensive?

As JZM said you can't use the transport controls unless you assign it as a Tascam controller in FL, but still the buttons won't match ('play' will 'stop', 'stop' will 'record', etc.)

However it works flawlessly with Reason. Overall a very good bang for buck buy.

Ya im usin the same exact things. Hey how do i assign the drum pads and all the controll for that matter? I'd be cool to assign drums to the drum pads and have the piano on an instrument at the same time is that possible to set in FL?

How much more do the 49 and 61 cost?

25 keys is a bit crowded, but seems like a great midi controller

I got my 88 weighted key motif though

Its DT Productions son.

The 61 is 50$ more than the 49.

The 25 is a bit crowded and im always telling myself I should have gotten the 49 but its still a great controller.

I am really close 2 getting this keyboard.

I am also going to get the Akai mpd24 so i can use the Axiom as a MIDI keyboard.

I hope what chefboy posted works.

1 question JZM because the transport controls don't work with FL can i just record by using the stock record function in FL 6 and 7?

This was my first midi keyboard controller. Make sure to download the Enigma Editor from M-Audio to set up midi controls with any software. I recommend this to anyone who needs an in-expensive controller to get started makin' beats!
