P.S. He is cutting unwanted frequencies its ok but when i want to boost another frequencie i add another eq is it ok or is another way of doing it .....

i've started to notice that it is all about preference, I was watching a friend Master some stuff before he put it on a demo cd and i wasnt sure if he mixed right.

what was the thing he was talking about with the treshold not beeing more than -12db?

thats how he want the kick tobe loud -12dB ... i like to be some like -8dB .... thats what mafhuz told me and i belive him ... because after -8dB the sound lost some of his quality .... and basicly all of your sounds when normalized have to hit -8 dB .... and after that you can boost em with compressors and put em in right place ...
