steps to remixing: Using ACid Pro 4


1. FInd tempo of remix beat(s) with the beatmapper or just remember what u made the tempo to. Remember!!!! If u have a high tempo (140 and higher) remember if u put only 2 claps on 8 beat pattern remember you divid the original 140 (or whatever it is) with 2 if it was at 140 with 2 snares on a 8 beat pattern.  the beat is at 70BPM REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!!!

1.5 If u use a comercial beat dont bother finding the bpm in beatmapper just find it in the list. but if its a hard to find beat (like bay area club ish) then use the beatmapper.

2. FInd acapella(s) i use ares. but if u want a legit acapella buy acapella cds

3.FInd acapella BPM (search the list)

4. Find the first downbeat on both the beat and acapella

4.5 REMemBER!!! that the intro is not always the downbeat. alot of the time the intro isnt even on beat.

5 Play and check for errors

6. HAVE FUN WIt it

Never knew that Show Stopper was 152 BPM, what the reason that they choose so high BPMs?

Good lookin out DJ.  Those tutorials and steps for makin remixes are fresh.  The point you made about using high BPM's and dividing them by 2, was a good one.  I like to use high bpm's sometimes, and when I tell people that I use 150 or 180 as my tempo, they think Im crazy.  Imma have to show a few people this one.  Peace out doggy dog. 

Some use high BPM's for dirty souf  -  you can make good snare rolls with dat tempo, there is a snare roll project in the download section it has examples with snare rolls for both tempos high and low

Yeah its pretty fun remixing. expessially when u DJ partys. i live in the nothern cali so when i play my hyphy remixs people go nuts.

nyquist if u se 180 and ur dividing then ur tempo wouldnt be 180. it was be 90. and u can get fast snare rolls in the piano roll just chop ur notes. if u dont know how check out NFX's tuts on snare rolls.

acid pro does the same thing. but somtimes the scan isnt very accurate. and theyre should'nt be in decimals involved with remixing. how often do u make a beat with a tempo or whatever.454. NEVER so why would a commercial producer do it. imma go try this program then reply back here agian. ill either be sending my apologies or informing u of the simalarities.

okay the BPM scan is fanzy but alot of the time it messed up. like it detected Act a fool as 150 but the real BPM is 75. it picked it up as twice as fast. and its not free. it forces u to use a vocal that says it was made with a trial version.

and using acid pro is easy all u do if find the first down beat and put the beat on the right  tempo how hard is that.

i guess we have a difference in opinion but personally i dont think acid pro is that hard. lol  its drop it in find the down beat and set the tempo thats like cutting a sample except not even as hard. most the time it detects the tempo.

Does anyone kno a good place where I could find acapellas? their damn hard to find.

I have the FL Remake with the vocals on my computer and the tempo is around 80 bpm. The tempo of the song might be that high, not the instrumental though. I'm pretty sure of that.

haha 80 x 2 = 160 the remake is at a tempo of 160 they just put it as 80 becuase it sounded right to them. and it is the right tempo its just in a differant format.
