| I'm brand new 2 this fruity loops page.I don't know how 2 even post a question. But here is my problem.I'm using korg wavestation in fruityloops. When I use the Korg sounds it eats up a lot of cpu load and ram on the fruity loops screen. When I play the beat it studders or something like that.Is it a way 2 fix that problem? | | | Take advantage of what you know how to do!! | |

| Quick question ... this shows how to use the hard limiter to raise levels and optimize sound / loudness as much has possible with out clipping.
What about the reverse ... you have a wav file that you want to use that exceeds 0db and clips...
Should you use the hard limiter to bring the levels back below 0? ie. Limit Max Amplitude to: -0.1 db Boost input by: 0 db

| I know a lot of people think this this tutorial is pretty useful, and I 'm not knocking the spread of knowledge because God knows a lot of people need it, but this is not mastering it's called normalizing and fading out a song.
I just want to make the difference very clear because mastering is a art form and if people believe that all mastering is is normalizing the track and fading it out, you will have a lot of people running around with horrible loud music.
To properly quick master a track you should do these steps:
1. Light EQ to reduce bass and treble
2. Soft compression, generally I do it just on the drums never the whole track, but flavor to taste.
3. Limiting to -3 decibels (nowhere near 0 because 0 in the analog realm is different than 0 in the digital world.
4. Then fade out if needed!
I'd be more than happy to do a video tut but I have no software for that!
Da 5th Letter Out!!
FL user from day 1!
PS
I will be posting tracks for examples of my work very soon, because the proof is in the pudding!! | | | |
