You've earned my respect, Thank you NFX. EDIT: This can be watched more than once, and still get something out of it.

this was very helpful for me as my drums are constantly the downfall of my mixes due to the fact that they always sound muddy and drown out the track. i'll try some of these concepts as well as try to come up with some of my own. thanks!

Just wanted to drop a note. The tutorial has taken my knowledge of mixing and mastering up a notch. Great instruction and walk through. Will not wait to put this knowledge into effect. Not to be a copy cat or anything, and if you do have some new mixing techniques for mixing drums please keep us posted if you can.

Much love
A1

sorry....one quick question, i like the part/idea where u lowered all volumes of the mix.....and start increasing volumes one after one while listen to the mix. Anyway u mention that u usually start with the snare followed by kicks etc....

So, if u happen to have a complete song (beats/vocals)....and u r going to start mixing using the method above....Can u pliz give us a rough idea on which one to start with?....Vocals first?....then? etc....

thnx again

nice vid very informative, but I was walso wondering about your new techniquescuz i almost never out two sounds on the same channel (not since back in the day when I was recording on a tascam 16 track analog recorder and had too for the sake of saving a track for something else)

Great tutorial! Just btw, that "snap" which you sent to the same channel as the tambourine is a clave or a woodblock from the sound. I'm a percussionist, so I know these things. ;)
