Hey Warbeats Crew!
AcePincter here - Thanks to premiumX for posting this in the official "Music Theory" section. I'm glad to see that this technique is being enjoyed by all. I assure you, I stayed up half the night with my eyes wide open when I found this one. It's gold, and I'm having a hard time topping it.
So far this is the best trick I've come up with but I am still hard at work trying to come up with new material for a section of easy "visual music theory" tutorials. I don't play piano, but I've been a guitarist for ten years and a crappy turntablist for 6 months. I am more a technician than a musician, so I'm always trying to develop new techniques.
I've got little real music theory education - I've used FL and Reason prior to study theory, and it's paid off in a big way.
Thanks also to imageline for making it so easy to achieve, produce, and learn with their terrific software.
On my youtube site I post my updates (search "AcePincter") so feel free to comment or subscribe to add your input. If enough people ask a question I can answer, I'll make a video on the topic.
Send me a message via warbeats or youtube. I'd be happy to hear your use of this technique in a song. Try different angles and shapes of "cutting" for different results.
Peace
-Ace
