This tutorial talks about the terminiology of time measurement in music. Specifically beats and bars. I go off on a small tangent about tempo and perceived energy.

its not true most of us have that sense for tempo... I know ALOT of people that realy dont have it!
My girlfriend for exmp. is so out of rhythm she would prob fall down if dj put "faster" song in the club...lol

Nice tut NFX

I got a question for anyone so please answer this but

do you count all the extra drums and perhaps the extra snare hits in a song?

little trick i learnt from watching an alchemist video
count 1,2,3,4, 2,2,3,4 3,2,3,4 4,2,3,4

so useful as you can follow your bars

and moose, lmao, yea it does. also how its "a couple of other minor things", then 5minutes later...
smh, teachers always keeping you late :D
also the "i cant sign, i kow that" sounds so defeated :P

never feels like time wasted watchin nfx tutorial.

i was wondering how i could sample a song of a time signature other than 4/4 but make it fit a 4/4 beat i have already layed down or intend laying down, depending on the sample.ive been using FLStudio a while and ive been sampling but its mostly 4/4 songs i been sampling. so if anyone is more clued up on this than me id appreciate a few pointers

thanks !
