I love information like this. I have inadvertantly made a lot of - in my opinion - good melodies in the past through a series of guess-and-check... and in some sad cases I just screw it and scratched songs that might just have needed a melody-bandaid so to speak. Thanks a lot ~ this will DEFINITELY help me when writing. I have to say, that sometimes I didn't keep it simple... and although my end product sounds full and overall "good" ... it is definitely busy. Can't wait to apply this :D

Just wanted to comment on this tutorial. I think the info was great, and very informative. I can relate when you mentioned that you can't exactly teach someone how to make a melody, but you can teach them the theory behind orchestrating and putting one together. Very informative.
