Thank You NFX, really trying to wrap my mind around this music theory. Going to watch these about 3 or 4 times.

I under stand how chord progressions work and all but I just don't get how to incorporate them into music without sounding cheesy. Can someone please explain how different styles of music incorporate the progressions? This has been bugging me for the longest time.

Great post. Thanks again NFX.

What is the difference between harmonies and chords? Isn't it just the singing or playing of notes that sound pleasant? Isn't that what a chord is?

if i understand it right the notes put together make sound but its how certain notes react to each other that creates the harmonies or dis-harmonies.
