It was a worldwide hit for 50 Cent produced by Dr. Dre so I decided to see what made it tick as an excercise. I found it was an interesting project to work on.

Some people have noted that instead of moving the snares forward I could have moved the kicks back. And that will work, I chose this way because it was more natural to me to hear the melody start on the "1".

I also say in this vid that Scott Storch co-produced this beat but i have read that it was Mike Elizondo that helped Dre with this beat.

Hi,
I'm a beginner to FLStudio and i still have a whole lot to learn. I found your tutorial very useful and easy to follow, only part I'm still trying to figure out is how you layered those 3 instruments into one channel. I don't know if I'm explaining my question correctly so basically what i would like to know is how to get the three instruments to to be layered into one.

Thanks In Advanced

How did you get all the samples and channels into little minimized bars like that?
