| Heres a tutorial where I break down the ingredients in a Timbo style club track. I think I got pretty close and it might lead to a series of future "Beat Recipe" tutorials.
I'll admit it takes me awhil to get to the end in this tutorial because I try to explain some things in detail. Here's the end result based on this tutorial so you can get a preview of what sounds you will see me demonstrate | | | If you find this site useful, please consider making a donation.

| DAMN, as I heard the Tabla sound alone in the middle of the tutorial I thought the whole beat is gonna sound crap, and then at the end I thought whoa it actually sounds good.
NFX how do you record your melodies so perfect in time? I could see on the note length that you recorded them and didn't draw them with da mouse. It's perfectly - you got some skillz man
BTW I'm not talking about quantization, I'm talking how you played the one single note of the melody always on the 3rd beat. There where you talked about rhytmic and stuff.
When I do it I get the it in the 1st bar on time and then in the 2nd or 3rd bar I mess up, I think it's just skill. I have also big problems to play my melodies and listen to the metrenome at the same time, I always couldn't do two things at the same time, I got to learn and train it somehow. And I even chose the beep metrenome which is very loud and then I turn up speakers but it doesn't seem to help LOL

| @rocsta: I just play where I feel it should go. I have a pretty decent internal metronome I guess. actually.. I remember that when I recorded the high synth part that inter plays with the bass, I played the bass with my left hand which helped me keep time for the high part. I then removed the bass notes and re-recorded them in a new channel. Is that the part you were referring to? | | | If you find this site useful, please consider making a donation. | |

| Wow. That beat turned out tight as hell man. Yo, also, you think you'd post the project up for that like you did with the reggaeton beat? I know some people don't have Albino, but with those of us who do, you think you could? | | MySpace - http://www.myspace.com/treyset_playa

| Excellant video, and the "might be the beginning of a series of beat recipe" is a good idea for people to find out what goes into making a certain style track. | | | zzZZzzzz. | |

| I'm debating if I will put the file up because I've expanded it into a full length track that I want to add to my collection. | | | If you find this site useful, please consider making a donation. | |

Thanks for the tutorial, man. Interesting observation.. especially the part about
the "halfbar low" & "halfbar high". Makes a lot of difference.Taking into account, his latest beats. I personally prefer his earlier beats, with aliyah. That is a sound
that cannot grow old. There was a smooth groove factor to his tracks then.
Well, anyway after watching your vid, I made a simple track, implementing your
ideas, and here it is. Oh yes, at the end of the track at about 2mins, i made a short 4bar beat, in his aliayah style. Do let me know what ya think.
Listen: http://myspace.com/christobeats (It's the 1'st track)
VST's used: Sytrus, TS-404 and 3x osc. All bundled with FL
Cheers,
