For some reason my bass doesnt go away between kicks. It is a loud constant rumbling of bass. Why is it doing that?/How do I stop it.

Doesnt sound like you have the volume knob on the 3xosc linked correctly, if the volume knob is moving with the kick then its linked correctly but if not then you need to right click on the volume knob on the 3xosc and link it to the peak controller that should be on your kick drum mixer track, maybe you havent routed your kick properly to a mixer track?

I think the knob is linked correctly. I see it jump up and down when my kick hits but at the beggining of my piano roll it hits some funny frequency that holds longer than the rest. Is there anyway I could give you my project file so you can see it. I watched the video like 10 times and I am sure I am not doing anything wrong that was done in the video. I am new so maybe I'm doing something silly elsewhere. The knob jumps and gets stuck during the first two kicks for some stupid reason.

I am syncing it with a RD_Kick. I doubt thats the reason though.

Great tutorial none the less. Thanks for the extra brother lance.

I usually use the Bass Boost(7 Band eq also) with the SoftClipper to boost my kicks without peaking, but this works too. Nice job

i love it. haha. people critical of the pacing of the narrative in an FLStudio tutorial.   it's cool though. slow is good for beginners. more advanced kids like us just have to bear with it a for a couple of more minutes.

also, notice that the peak controller has a 3 knobs ('peak base level %' + 'peak decay speed' + 'volume') and a peak tension curve control. if you're having problems with the note carrying over too long or perhaps the note is too brief or fading, you can tweak those controls to make it sound the way you want. for example, a longer decay (all the way left) will make it carry over longer because it will decay more slowly. a higher base % will make the note ring at a certain % base volume the entire time and jump up to the desired volume when the peaks hit. a value of 0% would make the note audible only when the peaks hit because the base volume would be 0%. the tension controls the tension of the decay. if left flat, the decay would be linear - aka the volume would die down linearly. the tension makes it die down in a curve of your choosing - either more steeply or gradually. finally, the volume knob there makes the peaks "louder" - doesn't make the kick drum louder, just whatever you're trying to control with it. look at the input/output levels bounce. you can see that the input (the kick drum) doesn't change, only the output (the volume of whatever you're controlling - in this case, the 3xOSC note). together, these 4 controls (3 knobs and a tension curve) can define how your kick controls the volume knob of the 3xOSC. it's pretty nifty. also, try using an inverted formula for the controller to make the note play between kicks. house music, anyone?
