quick question: i tried to drag 3xosc into the step sequencer, but i cant do that because it is a folder, not a patch. which patch in 3xosc did you use as the bass boost? or am i missing somethingg here?

you can also just go to channels / add one / 3xosc from the top menu, i just used the default patch for the 3xosc the one that loads when you add it from the channels menu then i put the note in a very low octave, try to find a note that matches your beat pitch then transpose the note down several octaves, remember too this is just a hack, i havent found a real need for this yet, but was offering it as a response to another youtube vid where this was done in pro tools.

I must be dumb? when I did this the OxOsc just played a sustained bass sound the whole, wether the kick hit or not. What did I do wrong?

sounds like you messed up somewhere in the linking process, is the volume knob on the 3xosc moving back and forth?

yes the volume knob is moving. I think I figured it out. Could it just be that I didnt have a low enough note in the piano roll? how low do you usually go?

Well this is just a hack and not really a necessary thing to do on most beats, so i truthfully havent found a need for it yet. I would suggest putting the note around 2 octaves lower than the key of your song. If your not getting enough volume from the 3xOsc you can adjust the volume from the MISC tab on the 3xOsc channel

Hey, I did everything on this tutorial (to help me learn), but when the kick drum hits, only the 3x osc plays, and not the drum! I don't think it's on mute..is this a common problem? Could somebody give some suggestions?

Everytime I try to open the peak controller it says that its not a generator and cant be used as a channel.

You load the peak controller into a mixer track not an instrument channel. Open the mixer then add it as an effect in the mixer.
