I think I lost my way. I don't understand any of the formula controller bits. I understand how he connected reverb and peak controller but when it comes to the EQ/phasing of the synth line, I don't understand why he didn't simply link the X/Y controller directly to sliders in either FL-Filter or FL phaser or FL Free Filter (or some such other EQ/filter).

So can somebody please explain to me these formuli?

can one automate the XY controller?

say i wanted to go between that higher frequency sound and lower frequency sound as the song progressed

is there a way to link it to another controller, automate it, or create an envelope?

How does he get everything to link to the y-axis on the x-y controler? I keep trying to do the same but they conflict with each other and only one of the links works.

Man, this is incredible but I really can't keep up with the tutorial!! It's too advanced for my limited capabilities but it would be awesome if I could do that some day...

Good tutorial man, but does anybody now how to set up the automation clip to control the X-Y Controller?. I've downloaded the file and its on channel 5 called X-Y Auto, ive been playing around with this but I want to learn how to control the X-Y controller with different sounds like an albino synth so how do you go about setting up this X-Y auto?

he actually did explain everything thoroughly, as even I (a beginner at fl) could understand everything he was talking about. One of the formulas has changed though. For the reverb setting at the beginning, you are going to want to select the Peak + Lfo controller and use the formula 1-Input*4 instead of his peak controller with 1-input. (or atleast i do)

all you are going to want to do is hit record and than select everything. Press spacebar and start moving it along with the music and it will record it. Left click on where the automation clips would normally be and you will be able to see it. I think heh.
