ADSR. We've all probably seen these letters assigned to knobs and sliders in various synth plug-ins. In this video I explain what the letters mean and use a sample in the FL Sample channel to demonstrate.

Wow great. I didnt really know how to play only one part of the sample so i had to record only a part cause i didn't know what was the envelope for. Thanx for all your tutorials man.

wouldn't you be able to just click "cut itself" so the sample wouldn't overlap?

Yes... BUT it will still always play the full length of the sample up until the next note is played. So you could not isolate the first hit like I show in the video.

NFX Because of you i have made a good enough track to provide to our local talent here in the uk and her vocals to it sound awesome, i will upload the track shortly, but i want to give you a huge thankyou i have been using your tutorials for quite some time now and without them my music may not have got to where it is now. you are a real tribute to any budding producer , i have alot of respect for that.

Mad props to you NFX!

Thanks a whole bunch... now at least I have an idea how to control a sample.

Thank you Jesus Christ,

I cant believe there is somebody out there that is willing to teach and actually care about the producer like you NFX. I pray the lord blesses you, and keep you humble. If anybody has five dollars, instead of buying a pack of cigarettes go ahead and donate it. what NFX is showing us, would normally cost us thousands to learn at a school like FullSail. so have a generous heart a donate.

Thanks a bunch

Jyenz
