| Expanding on the previous video that showed you how to sample drums from a WAV/MP3 file, in this one I show you how to sample drums from outboard gear like a keyboard or drum machine. There are a few neat tricks you can use in Edison to make this super easy. And I show you a couple of new things I learned since the last tutorial. | | | Did you find something useful on Warbeats? | some really really nice tips there. this tuts taught me more then any other i think
also, watch as sales of yamahas djx shoot up on ebay :P
and wow, this tut is old, last year, haha
id like to add as well, when your recording, you always want to get your levels right. you want your sounds to be recorded as loudly as possible without clipping. so play around with your meters before you start recording, and you want a bit of lee way, so have your levels around 0.3db below when you clipping. make sure your not clipping at all
basically, that means when you go and put those sounds in a beat, and you want them louder, you dont lose sound quality. sound quality can be lost when trying to increase the volume of something, but not when your having it lower | | AIM - The2ndMan2
