Your download count is further affected by a formula that takes into account the following things: - Approved Uploads
- Karma
- Forum Participation
I won't give out the details of the formula yet because they are still liable to change. You can get a maximum of 10 bonus points. If you have less than the base number, chances are you have a problem in one of the areas listed. | good job. finally we got good search in download section just one problem: it works great in Opera, but with firefox i got this img687.imageshack.us/img687/5962/warbeats.jpg actually no pages like News, Articles, etc | |

1 thing I would like to see is a set of links above or below the search that would allow me to quickly click 1 link and go back to ALL or Newest whatever you would choose as the most often used searches, rather than having to reset the search to get back to ALL downloads

Very nice work thats my only suggestion for now, havent tested it fully yet though
There is anow a Quick View you can use to pre-load certain search/sort patterns. Let me know if you have suggestions for more beyond the ones I have predefined.It's a 2 click process ATM, but still very convenient.
There is also a "Link To This Page" that will provide you a link that you can book mark to remember your Type/Search/Sort/Page. This link will be bookmarkable giving you a way to remember/bookmar an unlimited number of custom searches. | | | Did you find something useful on Warbeats? | whats up NFX, I watched the video and I saw that in the files tab there were two sections, uploads and downloads.
but when I have the pointer over the files tab it is just the same as before.

| Whats up NFX, so the tab was fixed the other day and I downloaded a number of files and noticed I had 50 downloads in total for each day.
I just signed online and went into the downloads section and it says I only have 20 downloads remaining for today. I have VIP access and I have not downloaded anything today, check it out and let me know when its fixed. | | | |

MJH... I was watching the bandwidth and it was getting out of control. I lowered the base downloads to 20 for VIPs and 2 for non VIPs. | Great update! Thanks alot, it's much easier now to download files. BUT I have one "complaint", well, a suggestion. It is very easy to spend multiple download 'points' when you accidentally press the disk twice (in a row), that's what happened to me. Maybe there's a way to fix that, maybe link it to a session or something idk.. Other than that, it looks much more professional and I can let my friends download files too without helping them by giving them instructions haha. | | | |

| Another thing you could add to the system is for people to be able to rate an item when they download it.
the number of downloads lets you know how many people have downloaded it but we don't know if they liked it.
I have been dissapointed in a couple things I've downloaded so being able to rate them would benefit non VIPs from "wasting" a download.
Maybe have comments aswell like the last section had. | | | |
