The speed of your connection has nothing to do with it (well very little), there is nothing changed on the site except the way the ccontent is displayed, so that cannot account for it getting slow. (there is actually a little less content to load now then there were before.)
The main issues are the times you visit the site and yur ISP's routing to our server. If you visit at a high load time the server might be busy with alot of database queries.
@ WABU BEATS: Your trace route shows a time out on the second hop. That's definetly a issue either in your end or your ISP. You may want to trace route to several different locations in the world and see if the same bottle neck is always there. If so, contact your ISP and whine

I'm located in scandinnavia and I cannot say the access times a re really bothering me. Something that does happen is slow ASP database queries, but that is something we are nor going to get rid of in the near future.
