27 Aug 2009 08:15 PMMy Big Idea For WB
Some ideas i think would help improve user participation on the site, we should have a new forum called member recognition.. where theres ranking, awards or belts or something like that, legends, beat of the month..

FOR:

1. Rankings: There should be 2 ranks

a) All Time WB Rank - This is pretty much every members wins and losses over the years..

b) Quarterly WB Rank - Where it shows you who the best is over a period of 3 months..

c) Ranking could be shown abit like NBA stats, showing; producers average, loss%, win%, W-L, and W-L average.

d) Every member should also have a positivity and negativity bar under their username.. so that members can give positive and negative karma.. itll show which member is a positive influence and who is not on WB.

2. Awards or Belts: There should be awards for accomplishments.

a) Feedback section - lets say you've uploaded 20 beats it should average the mix score, compo score, personal score, sound instrument qualty,(of every producer on WB) and every quarterly gives the top (lets say) 8 producers an award.

b) battle section - should be set in genres and every quarterly the producers that top each genre in w-l Average get a belt [so there would be rnb title, dirty south title, pop title, etc...], people can challenge the belt holders (for WB benefit only VIP can challenge for the belt) and the winner of that match takes the belt.. belt holders have to average certain amounts of battles per month to keep the belt, if the belt holder is inactive during that period of time the person ranked number 2 in the genre ranking gets the belt to make it fair..

c) some ideas for the different awards you could get: best mix of the month, best compo of the month, Crowd favourite of the month, underdog, up and comer [new WB members that are kicking ass in battles], an award for the member who donates the most to WB, The wise one [The member who has the most positivity], most hatered [member who has the most negativity].

d) Belts would be something like: rnb Belt, dirty south belt, pop belt, club belt, sampling Belt.. Then for tourney have a belts for the winner and the winner keeps that belt till the next tourney winner or retains it if same member wins again.

e) The belts and awards could be placed under the username or where it says basic member to the left of a post.

3. Legends: As a long time member of WB i think there should be a Legend Section in the member recognition forum.

a) You can only be elegible if you've been apart of the WB fam for a certain amount of time and have been a contributer from them till now.

b) Every year a handfull of WB member could be inducted into the Legend hall of fame.. this is decided by the sum of a member's awards, belts, positivity, contribute.

c) Every tourney winner should be recorded in a seperate section sub titled "Tourney Legends".

4. Beat of the month: Pretty simple its the top rated beat.

a) On the homepage www.warbeats.com there should be a player or playlist, the playlist would consist of each months best beat.. this would be good promotion for the WB fam and for WB the site itself.

b) Beat of the month would be decided by the feedback system.

Anyways there some ideas I have for the site to make it more interesting and to draw more people to it, in turn more VIPs and more money for the site. if anyone has more ideas on what i posted feel free to mention them..

Some of these suggestions are pretty good, but this site is about learning not competing. I understand that some people have a need for recognition, but I dont know if WB is the place to do that. Some of these suggestions might work but I dont think it would if all of them were implemented.

true.. I know WB is more about learning than anything else.. I've been on this site for a year or two its made me what I am now.. like i said I think that it could help the boss get more mullah for the site if there was a better battle system i think it could attract more members.. With the recognition its not really about being recognised more like seeing how much people learn from WB and showing newbies that there is plenty to learn from this site.. i think the ideas above could get people participating more on the site making things more exciting..

the suggestions sounds interesting.true what skrael said.this site is more towards learning rather then competing.but then again , the site itself is called WarBeats.this is a good way to pull more attention to members and newcomers.itll be nice to have somekinda reputation and recognition.ppl would fight for it and be at the best they could jst to get recognized.its also a good way to improve urself in audio production.
Future sounds in progress.

Yes i agree, to me a quite a few ideas are very interesting...for me this is how i see it, at the beginning of music production you have an urge to only learn...I know this site is about newcomers mainly and is leaned towards learning only. But after we grow and are veterans...we want our music to be heard and to be recognized as somebody, some of the ideas u posted are great ways for us to get that. Along with that I'd think that these battles would also give WB members something to work harder for, also causing growth...this is just my point of view but when i see battles like let's say HS, Noctune, and T.I....i'd have to say i wanna get in on it and come hard with it...and i believe drive like this is healthy for growing beat makers/producers...cause without drive to make something or lack of motivation...there's really nothing much some1 wants to learn...i know i've been there...for a min i wasn't really all too happy about makin music, i listened to my own stuff and that was that but no1 really knows...but ever since my music been gettin too a few peeps that like it and wanna hear more an make stuff off it, i been tryin hard for new beats that are bangin, even if its just 1 or 2 people....ya know?...But thats my piece and this post is completely supportive of ur ideas. But i know there's always downsides to stuff but I really think this is a good start for new ideas when it comes to battles and mebe we can adjust and give feedback off it...i will get back at this thread.

i like all your ideas man, way 2 use ya noggin, it would b cool 2 compete 4 belts and hold titles, it gives u a reason 2 work harder at your craft. and yea, warbeats is a site 4 learnin, but it's probably the only site where the majority of users are producers, i can talk 2 other producers and share ideas and showcase beats, and battle against sumone else, but the battle system gotta b taken up a notch, i believe this is wat it needs
DADE COUNTY THA BEST!!!!! and thats MR. Dade County to you................. battle record 1/0
