| The past 3 beats i've uploaded someone (I'm almost positive it's the same person) has gone in and given me all 2's or all 1's where others are giving me legit numbers and feedback. I know my stuff isn't that low. Espically 1 worthy. There's alot of haters here, NFX is there anything that can be done about this?

| ^^ What he said. One of the problems with putting your stuff out there is you make a target for haters. It's unfortunate, but mark the haters down as "worthless" and eventually their votes will be ignored in the overall score. If their Karma is red, it is ignored already, but you can still see what they gave you. | | | |

| You know, I was starting to feel the same way. Seriously, it's like no one wants to hear anything over what they put out. I've had the same related issues. I put value feedback whenever I rate someone's beat, and I request the same when I post: If you are not a multi-platinum producer, do not give feedback like one. But on the other side of the coin, it does keep you in your zone. So, it is actually good for something...lol. Not trying to come off cocky, but that's just how I feel about it... | | | |

| Just remember this. Whenever someone is hating and not being real with criticism, it must meen ur doing something very good to be pushed down. just keep ur mind straight and don't let it ruin anything. | | | |

| You know... There is another side to this. After adding my personal comments I always look to see what other people have thought about a given song.
More often than not I will see a comment like "I don't like the synth you used." This clearly isn't a "Worthless" comment. That is an honest opinion about what the person did not like about the song. However the comment is marked as worthless. Obviously the person could have made suggestions or been a little bit more specific but they clearly don't deserve the "bad karma" they will receive. I have seen this happen even when someone gives the person good scores. So they aren't just haters trying to lower the overall rating.
So it works both ways...

| well they have to be specific...their own fault if they aren't..
As far as I am concerned, I always try to be specific, so that when there is something I don't like, I state exactly why, and also what I would propose to change... and my karma is positive because people know I am trying to help...
Also when you feedback, you gotta use a way to feed so that the guy in front, won't feel humiliated... Like recently I got a feed from a guy, very competent and who recently joined warbeats...but who went hard on me in a harsh way... What helped is that he voted really fair though and also because I tried still to put myself into question... But I was close to put worthless at first because I thought he was just hatin, giving good grades but destroying me in the comments... (discrepancy)
Finally, he ended up getting a Useful note, but still, just to remind you than giving good feeback is not that simple, and just writting what pass thru your mind is not sufficient... the format and the content have to be adequate...

| I can tell you for a fact, all 10s happens a lot more than all 1s and no one is complaining about that.
All 10s usually means someone you know (or gave 10s to) is propping you up and that type of feedback is just as useless as the 1s most of the time. And often those 10's come in the first few votes. Is someone uploading a beat and then getting his people to vote it up?
The charts are like crack to some people.
On a personal note, the day I lost my ego about making beats was the day my eyes really opened up to a lot of things musically, especially who I am as an artist. It's nice to get compliments but they can't make or break me. Only I can do that. | | | Did you find something useful on Warbeats? If so, please consider donating to help keep this site alive.

| I don't mean to start back up this again, but I am. My track was getting good reviews and ratings then baaaaamm!! some loser gave me all 1's and said very bad song. This is not about my ego or charts, it's about principle. No matter how good or bad a beat producer I am or will be, I would never be such a useless piece of a carbon unit and rate someone low just to keep myself or my friends on the charts.I realise though that some are plainly immature. I only bring this forward again to keep this issue fresh in conversation and maybe someone can come up with a constructive solutiom to resolve this senseless act. I am in thought and maybe we all who are honest and true to this game can put our thoughts together to clean this up. For all who read this I thank you for your time. -=Rate My Beat=- | | | |

| Don't worry about numbers worry about what they say. Also if you get good enough your good votes will outweigh the bad all day. | | | |

| Thanks "X"-Quizit for your reply. I am not arguing with you just stating again in different words. This disscusion that has aroused my intellect is not fueled by those who abuse the rating system, but again the principle. Let the chips fall as they may. Grow up and enjoy this site in all of it's glory. This is great what NFX has created. A few as was said earlier "haters" should not be able to manipulate the flow of things. As "X-Quixit has said time will fix this problem. If the one's who are doing this read this, create some integrity within youself a enjoy beatmaking honestly. | | | |

| Well, the feedback system is a great tool, but it's up to you to make the final assumption and to sort out the right comments from the wrong. | | | -=Rate My Beat=- Take a min to rate, pop your link in, I'll Return the Favor, Like Keri Hilson

| I think a solution to some of the problems we continue seeing when we post up beats could be this..
When you go listen to a beat and rate it, the rating part doesn't show up till whatever time frame is passed.. like maybe 40 seconds or so.. That'd make sure most people would actually listen to the tracks and not just rate beats like "ok" and give all 5s.
Some more guidance to what the numbers mean could help too I guess.. But hey there's only so much that Warbeats can do, there'll always be people who try to exploit whatever systems for whatever reason. | | | -=Rate My Beat=- Sky of Grey.
