I think its time to go.

This really gives any user to badmouth or just straight insult somebodies work that they spent a lot of time and hard work on making.
It was a good idea at first but people have abused this feature and use it for a darker purpose.
Nothing really happened to me to make me want it disappear, I've just heard too many stories and saw alot of it happen to other people who don't deserve it.

I've been going through other peoples beats and rating them lately but theres one that just stood out to me.

The All-Time number one track on the charts, "Jay-Z & Eminem - Best Rapper Alive" by Mart85.

I absolutely loved this beat and its some of the most professional ish I've ever heard on Warbeats, and obviously alot of other people also think so since it has 50+ plus votes.
But theres two in there that truly disgust me.

"1/28/2009 by Anon - [ Mix:1, Sounds:2, Composition:1, Personal:1 ]: : I would prefer to hear the beat by itself"

"4/12/2009 by Anon - [ Mix:1, Sounds:1, Composition:1, Personal:1 ]: : horrible mannn".......Look at that, all ones. Seriously?

As I said, it Was a good idea but I think its bout time it got deleted.

Well, it gives you an insight to what the real celebrities have to live with. People pass judgement based on really nothing at all these days. It must be very frustrating for them.

For example, Metallica a heavy rock band spent the best part of 1.5 years in a recording studio to make there black album. How many people pass it off as " ohh I hate that crap cos its just screaming and you cant dance to it? But still, they were focused and worked there guts out to produce the best they could.

It seperates those who do and dont really give a funk about opinions . Alot of people talk tough and can act like they are a star but let them really hear what 90% of people think of there stuff and they would turn to water. It's a fact of life. You just cant please everyone. All the more respect to those who stick to there guns and do what they love regardless. That's why almost every interview you see or ehar the artist always says    " you have to physically and MENTALLY tough to make it in the industry, combine with an insane amount of luck "

I don't want to come off sounding to harsh, but it is kind of a wake up call to all the wannabes here. If they can't handle a site of a few hundred peoples opinions, how would they ever handle the opinion of a nation....With a bullet to there brain is my best bet.

Ohh, and by the way I do agree with you about removing the anon setting for feedback also I'd like to see some kind of messaging system like youtube has where you could respond to ?'s and so forth on the same page where they are listening to the tracks. It would be handy.

no i see what you gettin at there, definately raise a good point
but warbeats isn't about all this, we come here to congregate
exchange knowledge, help each other out where we can
not to completely ish on each other like those comments right there
i've been on warbeats for a loooong time now and i've never seen it this bad or this frequent until just recently, and it mostly comes from the voting system

i think it should be done away with also ive been a victim many time of 1 across the rate board or 5's people are not really rating the beats they just quickly  move the sliders any where or leave them set at 5 leave a stupid comment and rate anon just to upload their beats there should be at least a time set on the beat and rate system that will allow u to rate after lets say 1:30 secs into the beat atleast then after that u can rate.

That's actually a great idea. Maybe not after a certain amount of seconds seeing not all tracks are that long, but after 50 % or something? And maybe leave the rating faders disabled until you move them, to avoid someone forgetting to do it and end up rating it with all 5's.

I don"t really agrre with you immolation... It's not opinion, it's pure biatchyness what they do... they dont even give you feed... like the comments are either "pshhhh", or "boring" if they dare to use a word...

Matter fact, I only upload from times to times, but otheriwse, I tend not to put many beats in there and that's a pity cause exchanging comments abt beat would make us progress at a tremendous pace...

Also people should try to get a lil more technical in their feed... like, they always tell you to change the instruments when it could just be the quality or the mixing...

Anyway, I dunno if the beat feedback is to change or if it's rather some of the people rating who should grow up a little...

Here's a thought:

If there's no "Anon" option, everybody will just be biggin each other up to get votes back, or get unrealistic scores.
It happens all the time in the beat battles.

definately makes you think.
if people knew exactly who it was that said some silly ish about their beat, then they might actually track down theirs and do it back.

the hing is that it defeats the whole purpose of having a ranking... so it almost get no better than plain feedback.. Yet when all the new development will be sorted to get rid of that problem, it shall be good ( raters'rating effective and so on...)

i dont mind recieving a bad rating if you can justify why. If you are gonna rate me all 1's or 3's... (if you're a nice hater) at least tell me why you think that, instead of giving someone one of these:

4/12/2009 by Anon - [ Mix:1, Sounds:1, Composition:1, Personal:1 ]: : blegh

I think the no "anon" thing is a good idea. if u notice it's usually low scores and spiteful comments that are anon. this site is suppose to be for helping not the opposite. being able to take negative comments is 1 thing but just degrading some1's work is another. bet half those comments would b different if your name had 2 b included.if for nothing else for fear of a low score on a beat.
Do u make beats....., or do beats make u? Swaggerdaggerproductions@yahoo.com

I definitely think it should go. Too often people hide behind the mask "anonymous" to leave ridiculous comments. My first beat had a guy saying "weak"... NOTHIING ELSE! Like why he thought that. I'm not saying it wasn't weak, but he would've cared to elaborate if he'd been forced to put his name forward. Just now I loaded another beat, and I specifically asked "please leave constructive criticism - don't just say things like 'i didn't like it' or 'could be better'. Guess what the first comment was: "ish", and I got 34 overall. Whether or not the beat is deserving of 34 is neither here nor there. The question is "why is it 34". The WHOLE POINT (sorry, don't mean to shout but i can't do italics ) of us loading beats is to get feedback so we can take it on board and improve the tracks. Whenever I've received constructive criticism, no matter how harsh, I've taken it on board and my tracks got better as a result. And everytime I leave a comment I try to offer something valuable, not just "great" or "ish". These people are really making me tired, because no matter what they think of the tracks, they're just trashing something that we spent a lot of time on and take seriously. It's so disrespectful, and they should be forced to say their names. No point in just banning them cos they'll create a new account, but hell, maybe they should be banned too. I hope NFX takes it seriously and gives the whole anonymous thing a think
