QUESTION BPM AND TEMPO ARE NOT THE SAME THING ARE THEY?? THEY NEVER LINE UP RIGHT WHEN I SET MY TEMPOS TO MATCH A BPM OF A SONG...

BPM is Beats per minute= TEMPO. and its not matching up cuz the acapella isnt cut right try using acid pro. im still not very good at makin remixs so yeah lol that be a great tutorial to request.

A more exact BPM than that is needed for remixing. For example, rather than 105, I'd need 105.143 or something like that.

thats true...i guess once you get around in the correct area, you can tweak the decimals of the tempo from there...

but yeah, as far as the accapella's not lining up, i try to use adobe audition. like he said earlier the accapella may not be cut right. but keep in mind the original beat that accapella came from. if you arrange the song the same way as the original and set the accapella on the same points on your new beat, then it should fit no problem. but if it's arranged different, you'll have to do a little more work.

well i dont think many producers put there beats at a decimal i know i dont so why would a mainstream producer do so. and i havent came across a acapella that didnt match my beat. and if i did it was because it was cut wrong. use acid pro.

yall are forgetting tho that in sample-based tracks, instead of cutting the sample to certain time, some producers just change the bpm to fix the sample. i actually do this a lot and some of my tracks have bpm's like 92.25 or 97.70

best tip i have to find the bpm of a song is to go in FLStudio; right click on the tempo

click on tap.. and just tap along the beat.. then you will have pretty much the raw tempo..
Then you can start tweaking the tempo..
