| It's also a matter of what your trying to accomplish. With the East west library you have variety of of articulations and the natural hall ambiance which allows for more convincing orchestral mock-ups. But like TI said the end result is depended upon the skill of the user. High quality and more realistic sounds will not improve your production if you do not know how to utilized them. | | | |

| well of course it's what you do with it. that's a given. but that's the case for every VST....if it was SOLELY just what you could do with it, we'd all just buy reason, forget about 3rd party VSTs and go at it. i mean...there are people that could do more with the free synth1 (which is pretty decent actually) or sytrus than the $500 omnisphere (i've never used it, but it looks insane and spectrasonics is a great company) or z3ta+. and sure, there are producers that could use edirol to make better orchestral sounds than miroslav. but as a starting point, i'll take miroslav ANY day. orchestral is decent, just too limited IMO. you can layer so easily in miroslav and get dynamic, complex sounds. i mean....everybody should use what they like and it's just my opinion....but i don't think edirol can hold a candle to miroslav. | | | |

| I know that its not the equipment its the producer etc etc. thats true, to an extent . .
Say, you take one racing driver, give him an everyday car and tell him to do a lap on a track, and then give the same racing driver a F1 car and make him do a lap on the same track, what do you think will be the best time?
Its the same with music, you take one producer and give him FL stock and tell him to make a beat, and then give him a Motif, Pro Tools, MPC, and whatever other top equipment and sounds you can think of. Which beat do you think will be best? | | | MSN - shanejones89@hotmail.co.uk | |
