Also I'm curious to know why you thought that Miroslav philharmonik was worthless. I've played with it before and i didn't think it was amazing but i wouldn't call it worthless. lol at the inclusion of the infamous beetmaker.

^ those are all paid vst's? cause i thaught minimoog was freeware

and yeah i didnt like miroslav cause all the strings where panned to the left for some reason, and when you pan em back to the centre they wont sound as good.. its not bad but i like edirol orchestral alot better

Yeah they all cost money and just so you know the miroslav philharmonik vst did include mono patches. The reason the default patches were panned is because that is the position they'd be in a concert hall.

lol just wanted to point out the arrangement that's all.

I think an official VST buys and don't buys would really help people looking for new sounds, especially if its heavily detailed.

You wrote down Goliath but you forgot all the other great EastWest plugins. Some of them are pretty useful if you don't want to follow the mainstream hip hop beat types...)

EastWest Ministry of Rock (probably the best e-guitar/bass/drum vst out there if you want that "rock" feel in your hip hop beats)

EastWest Voices of Passion (great "voice" vst to mess around with)

EastWest Symphonic Orchestra (sickest string/woodwind/brass sounds you can get)

EastWest Stormdrum (13 gb full of drums, percs and other great things)

Their vst's are quite expensive yes...but i guaratee you it's worth every single dollar if you want to step up the game.

For ethnic sounds look for the VST "Ethno Instrument" by MOTU.. That one is a killer too..

Colossus sucks....has some good sounds but nothing that really got me. Symphonic orchestry is much better. Theres a new one like Colossus i forget the name it contains a wide range of sounds like colossus.
