I was just wondering, half the time when people make sampled beats, do they get permission and ish from the original owners? Because that's the only problem I have with doing sampled beats.

nope you don't have to have "permission" chuck d won that monumental lawsuit in the early ninety's.  however, depending on how you sample you have to document whose song you sampled and possibly pay royalties i'm not sure.

another thing to keep in mind....

if you're just making the BEAT....u can sample something and sell it to an artist....but it's on the artist or their record company to clear it if they are going to actually release the song.

Unless you're to some big time muthafunka you don't have to worry. But if your local you okay. Even some big producers don't get their samples cleared if the sample is small enough to where you don't know where it came from. Like Just Blaze.
I understand that the envy is part of the game but you and I we are not the same
