Alright, I'm in Denver, and we have no record stores with mixtapes.  I mean, there's obviously the option of getting them on bittorrent, but I'd at least like to support Kweli financially...Is there a good place to get 'em online that you'd recommend, or should I just go to any store that comes up on google

you could search for the sites on google...and then to see if they are good you could go to this site and type the name of the store/company (basically the site name) www.resellerratings.com/

www.allhiphop.com

www.xxlmag.com

both of those sites promote mixtapes and have links to places you can buy them. and then theres a site called... mixunit.com that sells em.

no your just giving your money to the store. the same thing happens when you buy regular albums for the store. the store buys  a load of albums and if they are flyin off the shelfs then the keep buying more, the artist doesnt get paid for ppl uying the albums but how many the store buys and they keep count of how many ppl buy the cds and thats how record sales works

wouldn't increased store sales make them buy more of the cds from the artists though?  But yeah, I gotcha.  Interesting.
