There's been a lot of talk lately on topics related to selling beats.  I'm entirely in the dark on this one, and someone might have to walk me through this step by step...

How do I start selling my beats?   People have mentioned posting beats online, but is there a better place than soundclick?  Is it a matter of getting your rep up on one of the other sites (which I don't know about) or something?

Selling beats is about knowing people too.  I'm 17 and a senior in high school and I sell beats by getting my stuff played at pep rallies or by letting my teacher's play them on CD's in class.  My name gets out there and I start selling to people.  I use soundclick to sell, but at my church there are aspiring artists that need beats and I sell to them.  Connections = Sold Beats

yeah promotion is onley way. if u have good promotion ull sell more beats! And what is better for promotion than internet! Register on every hip hop site u find and when u make new beat post link in every of tham. But to use onley internet is not good. Bdub have cool way, u should prob bring your beats to school and everyweare else. I bring my cd to partyes and i play tham(u know i say just for fun but actualy its promotion.lol).
Soundclick is just place for uploading your work, there is no diference with any other sites. But without promotion ur beat will never be heard.
And yo when i said hip hop site i dont mean production sites (like warbeats) cos people here are doing they own beats they dont wanna buy tham.
