| That's right, we have some sick rappers in the netherlands. These are my favs, and eventhough you probably won't understand (not EVERYONE is dutch, I understand, its cool ), those are still some powerful tracks. I posted some of this in the random thought thread, but I thought, why not make a thread about it. Enjoy and lemme know what ya think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIKFyQBQAno Winne http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvF9LSn6fSM Zwart Licht (Black Light) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBorfWcRHNE Fakkelbrigade | | | |

| Ow Main, you just like my friend he is into these rappers too ... They good I recognize the skill, but they be missin' the swagg .. Gimme some of that Salah Edin, Kempi, and in some ocassions Nino (from LSD), and some underground rappers.. They got the hottest beats most of the time, ESPECIALLY Salah Edin. | |

| Im checking some stuff by Salah Edin right now, but I dont find him much better or actually not better at all than Zwart Licht or FB. They are NOT missin the swagg in my opinio And I think Salah Edin's lyrics are inferior to , in example, Winne's W.I.N.N.E.. Im listening to 'Op de straat', which is quite a nice track, but cmon man, listen to Sticks verse, he's spot on with his flow and all, just like Kempi. | | | |

| Swag is a stupid word invented by stup..... It's up there on my list with the word "chill" used as a adjective
Anyway... Swagg = Swagger, the way I walk, talk and look.

| ^^ haaaah, holiday rap, hollands first hip hop.. that was the ish.
honestly i dont listen to any dutch hip hop at all, but when i do listen its most likely some Opgezwolle stuff.
i dont like Kempi at all, just plain wackness. TI i think what you call swag, is fake gangsterism in my eyes. all those type of rappers are always havin a face expression like their smellin doodoo and they think that makes em boss. | | | **Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst.**

Totally agree =D Opgezwolle is some good stuff ye, they stopped and became Fakkelbrigade though, but it's basically the same (Sticks and Rico (hes 'new'), dunno about the producer)

| ^ fagg you got it wrong
i said i disliked Kempi himself, i like his producers. example: the beat on ''mijn hossel'' was dope, but kempi wasnt.
and i know you agree with me here cause with like 20 music videos of proof YOU CAN NOT stand here and tell me that kempi isnt overexaggerating the gangsta appearance thing you just cant, its virtually impossible.
And yes i do believe i have developed a keen eye for spotting fakes. but this is not about that.
Kempi is obsiously hip hop, and thats cool cause imo every genre needs some total failures (Jonas brothers at pop, soulja boy at r&b etc.) So i think it is you who is judging too fast by grouping me into ''one of those guys'' before actually hearing out my point of view. | | | **Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst.**

| Kempi is dutch, there are no, I repeat, NO dutch gangsters. I mean, sure, there's Lexxus who got shot, but thats all, and thats so overhyped and whatnot, it just makes it look even more dumb. Dutch rappers shouldnt be talking like they live on the street, are in gangs or w/e. That may be cool in the US, where there is no social healthcare and people actually live on the streets, but the Netherlands is a country where there is no poverty, eventhough some rappers want to make you believe that. Therefore, there is no proper reason to be a gansta. Thats why I dont like Salah Edin i.e., he is too much 'popo lookin at us, satellite trackin us down, camera's everywhere etc.' I mean, for gods sake man, we live in one of the best countries in the world where you can live (they did research regarding that ). I just think a 'swagg' like that is a really really fake thing. But thats just my opinion | | | |

| T.I., i got the upmost respect for you, but your not even making a point with that last post there. but anyways, lets just agree to disagree on this one homie chill and smoke a J. on another topic, am i the only one who has no clue what the word ''gangsta'' actually means nowadays? i used to think it was a criminal, stick ups ,drug dealing etc.. but apparently nowadays it has do with the way you walk, talk and dress what is up with that? | | | **Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst.** | |

| It became the way you walk, talk and dress. First it was indeed being criminal, drug dealing and stuff. But you know how it goes, economy gets better, people earn more, there's no real need to do that stuff anymore and it just becomes a kind of mainstream thing where idiots like New Boyz think they are gangsta, have more swagger than the rest and w/e the eff they say. http://hitmusicacademy.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/new-boyz-2.jpg No, im not really a fan of that fake gangsta stuff | | | |

i just think its wierd how comin across as a 'gangsta' is such a good thing >.< | | | **Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst.**
