First of all soul music is still the number one music for lovemakin. when you think of a hot chick on a bed with rosepaddles, scented candles, dont tell me your thinkin TO DA WINDOWWWWWW TO DA WALLZZ. nah, your thinkin Marvin Gaye or some Isley Brothers. =] its still in like 80% of the sex scenes of movies.

Second of all, the chinese have been playing soul now for AGES, constantly ''singing'' it at karaoke bars and such, i think its safe to say 80% of china is into it.

Soul might not be popular in the american/european youth (your parents probably still listen to it too), but its definitly the most popular worldwide.

Conclusion, Soul is the ish.

I think you're overestimating a little. Plus I don't think we can really base this on what they listen to in china or India or anything. For the sake of what we're doing we can really only talk about Western and at least partially English speaking countries.
