Everybody has that one song they've carried with them and held so dearly close to them because they feel as if whats being said in that song is being spoken directly to and for them specifically.
So share with everybody, what song gets you like that and what lyrics from that song really grabbed you?

For me, its not so much a literal song like the singer is talking about me and the life i live, But more of an eye-opener and made me really think.

The song is called Right In Two by Tool.

The song is best summed up by calling it a musical adventure within the mind.
The melody is beautiful, the lyrics so damn deep and the measure of this song defies regular 4/4 rhythms used in virtually every song ever written.
The song is about evolution and discusses the topic of how monkeys evolved into humans but yet we still remained animals.

Favourite lyrics.
"Monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground
Silly monkeys, give them thumbs they forge a blade and beat their brethren down"

"How they've survived so misguided is a mystery
Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven
Conscious of his fleeting time here"

I highly reccomend watching from start to finish.

For some reason I couldn't copy+paste the video embed code and URL here, had to type it, check it out though

It's gotta be "Time" by Pink Floyd. It's something that everyone can relate to.

Lyrics:

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say"

For me right off the top of my head???

Tupac- Dear Momma (Damn that track makes me misty every time!)

Mariah Carey- I give my all!

I'm sure there are many others that I cannot think of but as far as heartfelt and deep meaning... those two hands down!

Man, I've got three that I always listen to if I've got my ipod on me,
Nas- Dance. Talking to his mom who passed away, asking for one last dance. That's real talk.
RadioHead- Talk Show Host. The earyness(not sure if thats a word haha) of this song, and the riff, just sticks to me man.
And Never To Far By Eminem, off his Infinite album. Man, climbing from the gutter is something most of us have done, or are still trying to do, so that just clicks with me. Also What Doctor J said, Rock Bottom. In the same boat as Never To Far.
