Oh ish... got me emotional lol..
This brings me back, I listened to almost all that...
Really pleased to see all those track in here...

Funny cause I made a thread not so long ago in another forum where I put a lot of these you put here and said that there was no records like that anymore...

Also one funny thing is that when I compare the sound quality of some of those records, they indeed sound fuller, and people might say, because it was hardware, but even if you compare it to some hardware manufactured records nowadays they have more musical "depth"...

Good thread ! Yeah you missed some like: ether - Nas and produced by ron brownz (yeah the autotune singer lol) and many others but there are so much... If i was to post them... would be too long...

It's because music back then was not processed to death.

funny that you talk about that... I was rightly mastering one of my track (actually more limiting the mix bus than anything else lol, not exactly mastering)
and for some genre, I guess they have to sound brickwalled (was doing some southern stuff)

Weirdly, when I try doing some kind of club track, I don't like them brickwalled but might prolly be a problem with my mixes in the first place. Sabo rapping : Death of Brickwall Limiting ? DoBL ? ^^
