i think auto tune is pretty dope.
i sound like a robot every time i use it. lol.
and its helping me get the ladys you know =)

but i understand what jay-z is saying.
he is sick of hearing everybody doing it.
he is saying do it.
but dont do 2much.

Yea, jay's a lot more old school than most nowdays...i think he's just fed up of these littl'uns haha XD

i wonder when he'll stop? he's what...almost 40 now...

im just sayin, the dude is basically putting out a diss on the majority of people he has worked with in his career.

Its a joke that people like Mary J and Jamie Fox have used it, they are flawless singers...that effect aint cool

DOA isn't exactly a diss on people who use it. Otherwise it would've been called "Death of Autotune users" or something.

Vocoding isn't the same as autotuning.

While autotune is annoying and maybe lame, it became more of a trend now... and the general people see it as a natural aspect in many songs today.

i think a lot of people are not really LISTENING to what Jay Z is saying in the song.

yes it's CALLED "Death of Autotune", yet he mentions people in the song that use it right?

if you listen to the lyrics, basically he's saying he doesn't like when folks are not TALKING ABOUT ANYTHING IN THEIR SONGS and they think that just because they use autotune, it's going to be a hit song. Autotune is a great piece of software if used properly.
T-Pain uses autotune all the time, but at the same time, he's also a good writer..and works his harmonies with it well.
kanye used it on his album 808's and heartbreaks...me personally, i felt like he could have done without it..but at the same time it put a different aspect on what he was saying..instead of him rapping it, he decided to sing it..and of course who would listen to an album if everything was off key..but at the same time, if he used it correctly without the "robotic" effect..who would really have believed it was kanye singing on pitch all the time...??

that was a lil off topic...but i digress...

i doubt jay-z has a problem with the software...its the artists who are thinking that "if i just put autotune on it, it'll be a hit" that have pissed him off...and he's also saying he doesn't respect these so called "trapstars" who trap just to say they trap...thats dumb within itself (once again off topic)...

i think Jay is talking more about the quality of music people are dropping rather than the autotune thing itself..

Jay-z is lame.. in the whole track his pretty much contradicting himself.. "this aint for itunes" LOL well its selling for $2.19 on itunes most of his albums are..He should of retired a long time ago..
