Now I have been with this every since I heard Weezy on "Dey Know Remix" now everyone is using it Kanye,Diddy,Chris Brown,Bowwow, Whos next?
Finally Someone agrees with me.Question: Do you think autotune will still make the same impact as it has this past year after this strike or was that enough?

Oh and by the way I have the autotune plugin but I use it strictly as software. Although I may use it for singing as a reference you wont be seeing me on any hit records using it.

It wasn't enough because america's listeners love hearing the sound of it and they don't know what the true music aspect of it is, they just listen to it because it sounds cool, Jay Z needs to keep it up.
From my mind to your speakers, it'll blow both of yours. -Northern Lights-

Listen, Screw Jay Z for putting out that Death of Autotune song.

The truth is, the very same person that makes almost all his beats- Kanye West- is a known advocate of autotune and even switched up to make a whole cd using autotune.

JayZ has also done collabs with many people who have used autotune.

This is a publicity stunt just like anything else. I'm sick of the same people who bumped the lil wayne songs with auto tune now bumping death of autotune like its the savior of the rap community.

PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK

I respect those who never endorsed autotune and never will I.E. KRS1

IMO autotune should have died down right after funk bands were using it almost 2 decades ago.

But thats just how society works,  people love a phase, then they clown it.

I agree with you on the fact that fans love phases, I also know that 808s and heartbreaks was all autotune

Im not calling Jay savior but do you honestly think that if anyone else like for instance KRS1 even tho he is a legend would be able to move the fanbase away from autotune at this moment?

I've heard before autotone gives people a chance to sing, that can't hit the notes...i believe this to be true so i agree with soul purpose ent. on that aspect of it...but like every1 else here has said it is gettin old but i'm not sure how long it'll take for america to get over if they do...that or a better sounding auto tune comes out that america digs.

What annoys me is it's the sound of autotune people like. If you pitch corrected everyone using melodyne half the people out there wouldn't even notice. It's only because of the mettalic vocal effect that annyone gives a ish.

new things will eventually come up.this autotune thing is gonna die.new sounds are always born.so let what it is now to be what it is.but be able to create something new.

real producers / composers design the world.
Future sounds in progress.

i think autotune is fine when used correctly. like how kanye used it in "put on" sounded great, but the way lil wayne uses it sucks ass, so itjust depends

I too hate auto-tune lolz. But i don't get what Laced in Beats is saying lol. So what if jay works with people who use auto-tune. That doesn't mean he likes it, or mean that he's 'fake' in anyway. He was workin with Kanye waaay before Auto-tune lol. It was Kanye's decision to use it, it hasn't effected Jay-Z's music really...I've only herd jay use it once, and even then he was funkin around sayin 'i don't need no funkin auto-tune'

But yea, so long Auto-Tune!

im just sayin, the dude is basically putting out a diss on the majority of people he has worked with in his career.

THE ONLY PERSON THAT SHOULD USE AUTO TUNE IS SNOOP DOGGG!!!!!

Its a joke that people like Mary J and Jamie Fox have used it, they are flawless singers...that effect aint cool
