| When did I say anything about rapping about the planets? I love techs subject content, but he isn't consistent enough with his lyrics. In all other genres of music, the lyrics can be simple because the skill comes from the singing, but in rap allowing simple lyrics = giving soulja boy a reason to rap. I don't have any problem, clearly nobody else gives merit where merit is due, when a rapper puts effort into a song I give them credit, when a rapper can't be assed to rhyme more than one syllable I say he needs to use better rhymes. I'm not asking for complex wordplay, or dope punchlines, im only asking for multis. If he has to sacrifice multis for content, then he is whack. And trust, tech doesn't have to sacrifice multis nor is he whack, when he wants to be he is dope. | | Flyin' Moose PRODUCTIONZ My Soundclick: Soundclick.com/FMProductionz My Myspace: Myspace.com/FMProductionz

| moose i get where your coming from its because of people like soulja boy i start disliking other rappers for not having crazy rhymes but still tho if you ignore all the ignorance in the rap game and just focus on the music, its al good ^^

| Yea I guess, the thing is my problem is more that tech can do it if he wants, but not doing it just comes across as lazy to me. | | Flyin' Moose PRODUCTIONZ My Soundclick: Soundclick.com/FMProductionz My Myspace: Myspace.com/FMProductionz

| This song is precisely why i don't listen to immortal technique. So maybe it's fictional... maybe. but he doesn't present it that way. and i don't give s sh*t about "how dope the story is". If he did that, he should be servin time, not out and about rapping about it. why are we saying "well done tech"? If you rape someone we say "boo", but if you rape someone and rap about it afterwards, apparently that's cool. nah, not for me. I don't care if he's repentant either, that's far too messed up. I hope it's just a story he made up | | | |

| yeah i listened till the end. i got the moral. but at the point he said "one of them was me" i just stopped caring what else he hhad to say. hope it's fictional, cos in that case i've got nothing against the song. but if he did, i really don't care about the message - he should be in prison | | | |

Are you serious... wow. If you're not smart enough to grasp it or too lazy to read into it, I'm glad you stay away from music like this. The story is true - it doesn't necessarily mean that HE was the one that raped the woman, but that ish like this happens everywhere in the world every day, and he puts it in a brilliant perspective to get closer to the listener. I saw him live a few days ago and he even said this too, he was tired of people constantly asking him if it was a true story.

| If you're not smart enough to grasp it or too lazy to read into it, I'm glad you stay away from music like this.
why do people on forums have a tendency to take comments that have nothing to do with them and then launch personal insults. dude, you don't know me, so don't go round saying that i'm not smart. for one, that's disrespectful, and two it's cowardly, because you're only saying that cos you're all tucked up behind the screen. Obviously you're the one that didn't read what I said. I get the moral of the story. A 10 year old kid wold get the moral. But I'll repeat for in case you have difficutly understanding what people say: that's not the point! Go back and read what I said, and if you still don't understand why I have a problem with this song (should it be real, and yes it DOES matter whether or not he did rape someone), don't come back and say I'm too lazy to read, when clearly you're incapable of doing it yourself. And who said I stay away from "music like this". I love storytelling (Nas), underground (Vast Aire) and gritty real stuff (Dead Prez). Contrary to what you may think, it's ok for peopl to have different opinions, and you shouldnt insult someone because they don't have the same view as you - that's the mark of ignorance. Soul purpose, I agree. Let's just listen to the music. Sorry for bashing on. I would've stopped, but if i get an email on my account from some character who doesn't know me bashing me, then I have to respond. Let's end the personal attacks.

| I said IF because I don't know you, it wasn't personal. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, jesus christ. I'm not trying to be an e-thug. And you don't know me either, so what makes you think I wouldn't say that in real life?
I know how to read - go back and read your own posts and see if you typed something wrong, because all I see is someone writing stupid ish about that they hate the song because he puts it in a different perspective.
Contrary to what I think - oh, launching "personal insults" back, are we? One thing is to respect others opinions - which I do - but you just misunderstood the song and ranted about it in a real dumbfounded way. Then proceed to contradict yourself. Now it's just another internet argument, AWESOME!
And with "music like this", I didn't mean only those songs and artists that include storytelling, but political/revolutionary views. I don't banally believe in every conspiracy he spits, but a lot of it is true. I guess people just prefer bubblegum rappers talking about bling over the state of our society.

| i never said you have to respect other people's opinions. all i said is don't insult people just because you disagree with them.If you think there's only one reaction that's valid to this song - "wow, that's deep" - I have news for you.
"I didn't mean only those songs and artists that include storytelling, but political/revolutionary views" "I guess people just prefer bubblegum rappers talking about bling over the state of our society." Now you're just making yourself sound like an idiot. I told you I listen to dead prez, who are about as political/revolutionary as hip hop gets, perhaps even more so than Public Enemy. Have you even listened to their debut "Let's Get Freedom"? Yet again, you've demonstrated that you find it hard to read - if only you bothered to scroll up the page, you'd see I clearly said "I love... Dead Prez". Just because someone doesn't like Immortal Technique doesn't automatically mean they prefer "bubblegum rappers talking about bling", or that they hate underground rap in general. I don't like Chino XL, but I do like Jedi Mind Tricks. for example. "all I see is someone writing stupid ish about that they hate the song because he puts it in a different perspective." I don't hate this song. All I said was that if the story is true, the song doesn't deserve praise. We wouldn't normally appalud someone who's raped a woman, so why is it different ijust because it's in a rap song. I did say "maybe it's fictional, but he doesn't present it that way". How's that writing stupid ish? Next time I'll write in bold capitals so you understand what I'm saying. Just to make myself clear before you start making even more idiotic assumptions, I dislike any kind of bling/bitches-oriented rap. I rate The Roots, De La Soul, Madlib, Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Brand Nubian, Jeru the Damaja, KRS-One, KMD, Cannibal Ox, Jean Grae, etc. I won't bore you with anymore artist refrences, because you get the gist (or do you?).
