Hope this has not already been chewed, I just wanted some thoughts on the overall of everything. Meaning website, free music, video, and you know the BIG picture.

Apologize for the lengthy video, won't be doing that again. I was a little confused, but after reading NFX's article "Artistic vs Commercial". It would seem that Diamonddistrictdmv are the more artistic types. So they give away there whole album.

yeah i got that from their vibe in the vid... ill admit i didnt watch the whole thing... but they surely seem to be underground and true to their lyrical talents and not about the rides and girls...

I think they probably gave away their album because of their sample clearance rate.

I've noticed big names like Girl Talk and Radiohead also did this.

Radiohead did it because they knew their album would be downlaoded anyways, and they had some battles with their label to the point where they would make WAY more money on the album if they released it as "pay what you want"

And they did make way more money.

Girl talk prob did it cause a lot of people can't justify paying for mash ups haha.
