some of the youtube videos can be very comprehensive. Be sure you're watching BEGINNER videos. That was one of the problems I ran into initially. I learned by watching someone else who was way more advanced than I was. So things that came naturally to him, were completely foreign to me. The youtube vids helped me go back and learn the basics so I could apply the things he showed me. Same way I learned guitar. Someone just taught me how to play songs instead of teaching me music theory, or even all of the chords. Take what you know, and find the beginner videos. And follow along with the videos as they're playing. When they do stuff, stop and pause the video and do it on your FL version.

Hope this helps.

hey, im a newbie too. Yeah everyone will say that you have to watch the begineer FL tuts for newbies but once you already know almost the basics, the new problem will be how you create melody using different notes and chords and combining many different intruments together and they sounds really nice. So how?

^ This involves "Musical Theory"..

See the thing is.. You "newbs" (no disrespect, it's just for an explanatory cause), watch the "Vets" bang beats and, you guys think like I wanna do that ish too and NOW..!

The problem here is that you can learn all the tips & tricks that there are about music, but the core of "hawt beats" comes from a thing called "creativity", and that is something you cannot teach to a person. It comes from within'. You wanna learn how to make beats like "chris brown" or "T-Pain", you can't teach that. Course we show you 'how the beat is made', but that's all.

I mean if it was 'this' easy, people like Timbaland wouldn't special for their 'talent'..

Just keep in mind this is not something that comes overnight. If you're not musically talented, you will need to practice full-time to get half way in comparison who is musically talented that practices his craft part-time and still goed all the way..

It needs a lot of time before you are able to remake a beat or to make a Hot Beat. If it was that easy all of us would have turned into Dr.Dre and Scott Storch in a day.My advices for you is that :
1.Watch some organising tuts
2. Learn therminology , what's this and what's that
3.Experiment on drums , experiment on melodies
4.Watch different tuts how you can do a partisular thing on FLStudio , first off learn the sequencer , then piano roll , playlist , then the mixer and the last the channel settings
5.Now you can START studying remakes or watching great producers in action
6.YOU WILL SEE RESULTS IN NOT LESS THAN A YEAR (at least that's how it worked for me )

Be yourself and create your own musical style.

Don't try to imitate a style only cuz you think timbo, soulja boy or lil john music is dope.
Come up with something different...that's what hip hop is all about. Innovation and creativity.

Hip Hop game has way too many copycats...do your own thing no matter what other ppl say.

bacisly what you have to have is...high, middle, low range sounds....(whistle(high),some synth(mid),bass(low)
